Yesterday was fabulous….it was like living in different era. After church I headed out to my parents house for lunch. We sat out on the back porch and just watched the green grass grow.
Relaxation was just what I needed after Converse Boy gave his official resignation that morning in “Big Church”. (That’s what the student’s call it.) He told them we’re leaving, and thanked them for their support and for the opportunity to be a part of this community. That’s when they gave him a standing ovation. That’s when he cried. That’s when I smiled, because he deserved that standing ovation! That’s when Sambo told everyone we would stay up front so they could give us their best. That’s when I wanted to cry…I don’t really like goodbyes; they stink.
Getting back to grilling…cracked pepper and garlic grilled chicken, grilled corn on the cob, new potatoes and green beans. Mmmm. Then we jumped into the pickup and drove around aimlessly. It was like a safari…no really it was. We were in the middle of nowhere, and we could have run into a jack rabbit or something…don’t make fun of me internet. I know, I have a wild imagination. Sometimes I think we forget to slow down and enjoy "today". What would be your perfect day of relaxation internet? Happy Blogging.
I long for a lazy Sunday. With 2 little ones... lazy is no longer a word in my vocabulary. And when the day comes that I have nothing but lazy Sundays ahead of me... I'll long for the days that my Sundays were busy and buzzing and my children were small and demanding!
ReplyDeletelaziness is why I love my Sundays! Your grillin' looks amazing.

That is such a cute video.
Sundays? Are made for being lazy. I refuse to do things on Sunday. I like to lay on the couch with my cats.
